Water level was 577 feet ( 6 inches below datum) in Green Bay at the mouth of the Fox River; when our boat with a 5 ft draft got stuck here at high noon on the 23rd of June 03'. It was rocks and the boat slowed to a stop within 10 feet of hitting at about 2 knots in light wind and no waves. It made a lot of noise and drew a lot of attention. A fishing guide with a 250 HP Mercury outboard stopped and pulled us off and told us to go right back the way we came in; all the way back to Sherwood point and to stay close to the shore. By this time we lost confidence in the charts and did what the guide told us to do. We have been through here in 2001, but about 2000 feet further north. In Feb of 2006 I learned about the Fishing Hot Spots charts that use some other source of data as the spot which I found to be less than 6 feet is shown on the Fishing Hotspots chart a segment is shown to the far right adjacent to the revised 14910_1.
