Interesting schematic for Holding Tank and Toilet system
Something like this PVC Bulkhead Adapter may well be the key ingredient of the dip tube kit from Ocean Link.  The trick is to go through the wall of the tank and seal it tightly.
This company only has the socket and thread type
A top and a side mounted dip tube (suction pipe)
example from Ocean Links . seen to the left.

Notice the 45 degree angle at the bottom seems to allow for a wider inlet area yet staying very close (1/2") from the bottom allowing maximum pump out.  The other item that would increase pump out ability, would be to have the dip tube go down at a small, low area in the tank.

How do they get these into a tank that does not have an access port?   Both of the ones shown seem to have a locking nut inside the tank.  See sample nut pictures below.

An Ocean Link customer's site in Maine, USA with an 1963, 28 foot, Pearson Triton, using the Lavac Popular Marine Toilet  installation.   The elbows that came with the tank for the inlets and outlets on top of the tank where too tall and a great witch hunt found some shorter ones that worked from Todd.

Their scheme has two dip tubes, one for the deck pump out and one for the overboard pump out eliminating the need for a Y valve.  I think putting a TEE on one dip tube would do the same thing and decrease the number of connections to the tank
Waste Tank Dip Tubes

Two 1 1/2" dip tube assemblies suitable for DIY waste holding tanks. A straight fitting on one and an elbow on the other to suit most applications. Allow 90mm clearance on the elbow version above the top of the tank. These fittings can be fitted from the inside using back up nut supplied, or from the outside with screws through the top flange. A gasket is also supplied.

I ended up having a welder making one by welding alumium pipes and elbows together.  Spring of 03'
