On our 1980, Mariner 36 sloop,
we used shrink wrap until the Fall of 2006.

The first shrink wrap I bought in fall of 2000 was used four times.  The next one was new for 04'.   I bought a lot of the six inch wide adhesive backed tape from Dr. Shrink wrap through West Marine.

Since the fall of 2006 we have been using a professionally made tarp.  It has two main pieces and they are heavy.  I'm thinking of making it into four main pieces after the winter of 2012-13 to make it more managable now that I am in my seventies.
